Hello FriendsHalleluia! Today is the last day of January, and I am ready to kick this month "to the curb!" Besides the no Vitamin D, gray days and cold temps, lets just say I prefer the upcoming month as a precursor to Spring. Before I go on to talk about today's post, I would love if you stopped by this Friday, when I share my experience with professional teeth whitening, sponsored by a local dentist here..Its not glamorous by any means!
Hi Ladies!Lets face it, who didn't have a lemonade stand as a kid. 10 cents a pop, got you a glass of lemonade. Now, its a buck, per inflation and some young entrepreneurs. Ha! When I saw this top on Shein, I thought, yes! Now, its more about the grown up version, as I enjoy sipping some Lemoncello now and again. All of the fruit I eat over the summer, this top will remind me of this warm, sunny season. I loved the Off the shoulder style, and bought one other top when shopping on the site. I also like a bright yellow for summer, although it is best kept as a skirt, and not near my face, as bright yellow may not be as complimentary there. I decided to combine the print with my yellow lace skirt for added texture as well as my Zara pine green statement necklace. I could wear this top either off the shoulder or on.
Hi LadiesMetallics have been big this year, but I have always loved them either as an accent or as a full look. Today my inspiration was from this gold maxi dress I found on sale at H&M. I loved the light material and the bit of leg one can show with the slit up the front of the dress. Built in air-conditioning, thank you very much! I suppose I am sporting a bit of a tan, or at least some color, compared to when I was younger and used to the color "red" ( not in a good way) Oh, the things we do ( or I did!) to get tan. For more years now I protect my skin with SPF 50, wear a hat, full body suit ( no just kidding) but keep shaded ( as we had a canope this year on the beach) and make sure I am keeping out of the sun as much as possible.

Hello Ladies and GentsGlad you are here for #turnngheadstuesday. I seem to be obsessing over white lately. You all know I Love Color but can also be captured by white with a neutral palette.*Absolutely! I love a nice clean white look, bright and modern, that look where the white stays white and there is no sign of dripped coffee on your clothes, or it has faded to a "winter white." So, I must take advantage of my new white items before I eat, drink, or lay in the grass for that next summer concert. :-)

Hey, I sing and talk to my dogs every day, right? I thought today I would change it up, as I like to do from time to time. Recently, I have worn stripes HERE, this look, and more jeans. I know I have a feminine style, but there are days where I want to "dress down" but look put together and have fun with fashion wearing something different. I have had this military jacket from LOFT for years and haven't worn it much. I just decided, why not? I love the raw edges and the brass buttons, as well as the shape commanding a more feminine feel, not a boxy look.

My Refined Style #8-Day at the Vineyard and Orange Shift Dress and My Mom’s Genes
Hello LadiesI wanted to share with you the photos of our recent trip to one of my favorite Vineyards, Raylan Vineyards here in NC. Let's see, there are 95 Vineyards in NC so we need to plan where we want to go each weekend! haha. Anyway, I decided to name this post Orange Shift Dress and My Mom's Genes, however I thought the mere mention of Mom Jeans might turn some away. I am speaking of "Genes" here though. My mom has the gift of being able to speak to anyone and striking up conversations with ease. I think I inherited "mom's genes" as we sat on the comfortable wicker outdoor couch with our picnic and '14 Chardonnay I had the task of tasting. I must have this face that makes people feel at ease to open up. We still laugh that after stopping at a rest stop, mom came out talking to another woman we hadn't seen before. We asked her who the woman was, and she said, " Oh, we just started talking in the ladies' room"... See, "mom's genes." We certainly laugh about it, but I think it was passed on to me, and we were able to enjoy speaking to different people at the vineyard about NC wines, puppies, and the like.
