Hello friends,I thought today I would wear something different, as I bought this blue linen dress from Zara last year, but didn't have a chance to wear it on the blog. I will style it several ways, but today I thought i would pair it with white trousers and espadrilles for a fresh look. We had a fun weekend, going to a new Vineyard, Roaring River Vineyard, where we ate lunch overlooking the river and scenic overlook. I had the "difficult job" of doing the wine tasting indoor, as we had the pups and hubby had to watch them. I tasted 6 wines, 2 rather unique- The Taminette ( had at one other vineyard- a white with a tinge of sweetness) and the Chambourcin red wine, a bit tarty for my taste, but rich. I ended up selecting a Viogneir, a white wine with some citrus and a medium body. It was a good day overall!
Good Morning Ladies!I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to the coming Thanksgiving holiday. My hubby and I, along with my sister and niece, went to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens to get into the spirit of the Holidays. The lighted trees, in red, blue, green, yellow colors around the Gardens, along with a clarinet group, playing Christmas standards started to get me in the mood. Do you go to places such as these and come home with extra vigor and motivation for decorating? Earlier in the day, my hubby and I went to lunch and I wore this look to lunch.
Hello Friends!Well, next week I will be attending my nephew Corey's wedding in Asheville, NC. My mom rented a house for the family for the week, and we are going to be relaxing and enjoying the mountains. I am really looking forward to it! Asheville, an artsy mountain town has always appealed to me, with it's laid back mellow nature and fun artsy shops. We have much planned the week prior to the wedding, but my sister, mom and i have all discussed what we were wearing.
Hello Friends!Isn't it hard to believe it is now August? I have to say it has been a hot summer here in Charlotte, but we did have a mild Spring that led into the next Season. One thing I do enjoy is the ability to sit outside throughout the year until about December! I enjoy the sunshine and seeing it more often than not, affects my mood in a positive way. One look I love seeing in the summer, which seems to be popular, year after year is the all white look. I shared a look yesterday on the blog, and today wanted to wear white with a bit of a classic look. Yes, my hair remains up in August. and I .got rid of those pesky greys! My stylist said she never saw those white hairs on my head until now....

Good morning Friends,I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We have actually had a Spring this year, as in some years in Charlotte, Spring just melds into Summer, and Summer temps! It is going to get hotter this week, however, I am ready to take a dip in the pool anyway! We were busy this weekend and enjoyed seeing the Charlotte Symphony Pops perform classic jazz tunes, while sipping wine and enjoying dinner outside.
Happy Monday friends!Well, it is officially summer! Kidding. But here in Charlotte it almost feels like it is! 85 degree days and sunshine have been the weather for the past 4 days. I love the sun as it does help my mood but the heat can hold off for a few more months! This weekend we enjoyed just sitting out by Lake Norman bringing the pups and having lunch out. I've been having a hard time health wise struggling with coming down on one of my pain medications. I won't go into it only to say that this illness certainly does challenge me both physically and mentally at times.
